The Ethiopian runner Mr. Gebre secured the first place in 2016 Beijing Marathon in two hours, 11 minutes and eight seconds.
Beijing Marathon kicked off Saturday morning with a total participation of 30,000 runners from home and abroad.
The 42.195-kilometer race started at 07:30 from Tian'anmen Square, and finished at the National Olympic Sports Center Stadium.
This single full marathon race was launched in 1981 and has been held annually ever since.
It's hosted by the Chinese Athletics Association and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports.
